University of Gujrat is one of the largest universities in the Northern Punjab region. It offers bachelor and master degrees in about 26 disciplines, and M.Phil. in about 10 disciplines.
The department of English offers BS Hons. and MA in English, and M.Phil in both Language and Literature.
Apart from teaching to BS, MA and M.Phil classes, I help the Head of the Department in implementing the rules and regulations of the university.
I am also responsible for advising and supporting the Head in quality assurance and making our courses concurrent with the quality standards set by the HEC.
As the Coordinator of the Research Review Committee, I am responsible for monitoring/evaluating the proposals and assigning supervisors to the research scholars.
1. Lecturer in English at GIFT University, Gujranwala.
2. Assistant Warden at Sir Syed Boys Hostel, GIFT University, Gujranwala. I was actually the one who set up the hostel and ran it for four years from 2002 to 2006.
3. Virtual University of Pakistan. As a lecturer, I was the course lead for ENG-001. I was also responsible for quality assurance and improvement of the courses.
Describe your success in your professional life and achievements
I have so far taught a number of courses like Psycholinguistics, Semantics and Pedagogical Grammar to BS and MA classes. I have also taught General Linguistics and Applied Linguistics to M.Phil classes. Apart from teaching, I am also the coordinator of the Research Review Committee of the department.

What do you remember about your time in ILM / IMT /UMT?
The time spent at the UMT has been the most insightful and fulfilling time of my academic career.
