HUAWEI is a Multinational Telecommunications Company revolutionizing telecom industry for the past 17 or so years. They have a number of products for consumers and enterprises as well including Smart Phones, appliances and Solar Panels.
Describe the work that you do in your role
.Lead design projects within agreed territory, taking projects from brief through to completion Attendance of strategy meetings to obtain design briefs and general direction of projects
.Assist with the on-going development of the JD Store design specific to the assigned territoryLiaising with key project stakeholders at varying stages of projects, working closely with internal departments (Acquisitions team, Project managers, Quantity surveyors,Retail, Merchandising, Marketing, Multichannel, IT, Security, Health and Safety etc.)Coordinate meetings to present store designs and obtain feedback and approval
.Attend site meetings; talking through the design with the project delivery team, check surveys and record site information, ensuring all data is up to date in all documentation.Set up drawings in AutoCAD using landlords or survey information ensuring all work is accurate
.Space plan merchandise layouts using a design brief and option targets
.Production of detailed plans, shop fronts, sections and elevations for proposed store designs and site-specific details where required
.Liaise with external professional agencies such as architects, MEP and structural engineers, permitting departments in order to obtain statutory approvals
.Offer assistance and support to the global design studio to support workload in other regions as / when time permitsPartner with the GHQ graphics team to deliver project specific designs

Describe your success in your professional life and achievements
I stared out my career in Design & Marketing a while ago as a Visual Merchandiser and found a place as a Content Marketer & Visual Designer. Currently I work with a Multinational Company in helping them with their marketing strategies and making their content understandable and look good.
Write your activities and achievement if you were member of any club or society in UMT?
While I was there, I was working with a start-up on the side, basically the whole time but if I had the chance I would have definitely joined the UMT Ushers Club or Photography Society.
What do you remember about your time in ILM / IMT /UMT?
My time in UMT has been really great. I have learned a lot from people around me, my teachers and my friends. It's been a great social experience as well. I learnt to connect and approach people with ease.
