Mehak Shahzad

Organization Information

Meherban Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization working for the social welfare and community development Meherban is giving free education to orphans and needy children in Lahore, Punjab, and Kashmore, Sindh. Meherban is also working against extremism, it provides a platform to young people for their skill development.

Describe the work that you do in your role

Mehak Shahzad is the founder of the NGO, currently works as a trainer and the president of the organization. She is responsible for leading the team members and to head various events of the organization based on children learning and youth advocacy.

Indicate previous experience and/or areas of career proficiency/achievenments

Mehak is an experienced soft skills trainer, she also works as a blogger, content writer, graphic designer and a photographer. Mehak is a social activist. Her most of the writing and photos are themed for social development.
Young Social Activist Awards, Best speaker awards, and Best writer awards are the achievements of Mehak.

Describe your success in your professional life and achievements

Mehak has been training many young activists for community peace and development she has been a source of motivation for young students and children in Pakistan. Her organization Meherban Foundation is successful in giving free education to over 200 children in Pakistan.

Write your activities and achievement if you were member of any club or society in UMT?

Mehak has served UMT Socal media as a photographer and Video Jockey also worked as a Radio Jockey at UMT Radio for 3 years. Organized UMT Model United Nations s an executive member of UMT Khateeb (Debating Club) represented UMT in a number of debating competitions all over Pakistan. Mehak has also served UMT Literary Society as a President and organized literary activities within the campus.

What do you remember about your time in ILM / IMT /UMT?

UMT has given me precious memories and helped me in developing my personality professionally, my days in UMT were full of learning and fun
