Organization Information

Riphah International University, is a private University, chartered by the Federal Government of Pakistan in 2002. The University was established with a view to produce professionals with Islamic moral and ethical values. It is sponsored by a not-for-profit trust; namely Islamic International Medical College Trust (IIMCT), created in 1995. The first project of the IIMCT was the Islamic International Medical College, Rawalpindi, established in 1996 by its Founding Managing Trustee; Maj. Gen. (Retd.) Muhammad Zulfiqar Ali Khan, TI(M), TBt (Late).

Describe the work that you do in your role

• Conducting interviews and providing the necessary inputs during the hiring process
• Working with recruitment agencies to source for candidates for specific job positions
• Maintaining HR records, such as those related to compensation and medical insurance
• Managing workplace safety issues
• Training new or existing employees
• Communicating and explaining the organization's HR policies to the employees
• Preparing and submitting all relevant HR letters/documents/certificates as per the requirement of employees in consultation with the management
• Processing timely distribution of salary, bonus, increment salary slip and full and final settlements
• Recording, maintaining and monitoring attendance to ensure employee punctuality
• Conducting employee orientation and facilitating newcomers joining formalities
• Maintaining and regularly updating master database (personal file, personal database, etc.) of each employee
• Resolving grievances or queries that any of the employees have
• Implementing and administering performance management processes as per the PMS policy
• Conducting exit interviews for employees and recording them accordingly
• Reviewing job descriptions for all positions at regular intervals and updating them in consultation with the respective managers
• Engaging with employees on a regular basis to understand the motivation levels

With the strong background of Recruitment & HR Operations I got a senior position in various sectors i.e. Telecom, Manufacturing and Education to demonstrate my competencies for the organizational productivity as well as professional growth in following HR Functions.

What do you remember about your time in ILM / IMT /UMT?

UMT left a lasting impression into my life due to its friendly faculty members, good facilities & environment.
Moreover I remember my higgledy-piggledy batch which provided me several opportunities to lead.
