I am working as a Network Engineer in Link Dot Net. LDN is an Internet Service Provider. We provide the services of Internet both wired and wireless. I am working in Network Operations Center, my task is to escalate the issues within the organization and outside in a timely manner.
I am in NOC Monitoring Team. My role is to check the entire network with its services and devices and to keep them up. I have to keep the network up 99.97 percent. The services which I monitor include DSL and Point to Multi Point Wireless Services.
Previously I have worked in CureMD as Asst Systems Administrator and at Wateen Telecom as Trainee VoIP Engineer. My overall previous experience is about 2.5 years.
Describe your success in your professional life and achievements
My responsibilities in Link Dot Net include keeping network and systems up most of the time. We run the services of our company and also troubleshoot any issues in them. As far as new products are concerned they have to be implemented by the managerial level. I give my suggestions from time to time.
Write your activities and achievement if you were member of any club or society in UMT?
I have participated in 1st ICIC Inetrnational Conference held in UMT, Lahore. I was the main author in it.
What do you remember about your time in ILM / IMT /UMT?
I did my Masters from UMT, Lahore. It was a nice experience learning there. My friends were always there to help me. Even after completion of my degree I have been closely connected with my friends. UMT has good teaching faculty and good academic setup.
