I am a seasoned professional having 11 years work experience of Supply Chain Management under different domains i.e Distribution & Logistics Management, Warehousing, Transportation, Inventory Management and Procurement. I have been associated with different companies like PEPSI Cola, Service Sales Corporation (Pvt.) Ltd (SERVIS Shoes) where I had managed different Supply Chain functions.
Currently I am the part of Horizon Pharmaceutical (Pvt.) Ltd as Distribution Manager, to manage the nationwide distribution as well as International Distribution.
Describe the work that you do in your role
* Maintain Inventory Levels at all Finish Goods Warehouses as well as at Distributor Levels throughout the Pakistan.
* Implement the best warehouse practices, especially at distributor’s setup across all Pakistan.
* Push Sales and Marketing Team for fast Liquidation of Slow Moving Products.
* Make efficient and effective Strategies to Control Expiry. (May use IST Strategy).
* Process the expired products from retailers & distributors accordingly.
* Production and Sales Forecasting to meet customer satisfaction.
* Continuous visits at Primary & Secondary Distributors throughout the Pakistan.
* Conduct the Training for Distributors.
* Make Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) to manage overall Distribution Cost.
* Close Liaison with Sales Team and Distributors for efficient and effective supplies.
* Working to integrate all stakeholders (Horizon, Primary Distributors, and Secondary Distributor etc) to get the real time data.

* To monitor product delivery accuracy, lead time and maintain overall logistics operations.
* Provide transportation solutions and support for the supply chain and commercial organizations supporting the needs of the business.
* Monitor the product aging report according to FIFO Inventory method and to save extra carrying cost.
* Monitor the space utilization of warehouse to reduce the warehousing cost per month.
* Allocation vs. dispatch vs. receiving lead time comparison to maintain the productivity of warehouse team.
* Coordinate with Planning, Production, Sourcing, and Accounts & Budgeting sections for necessary objective synchronization leading to achievement of company’s overall objective.
* Dealing with Third Party Logistics (3PLs) and logistics operations to deliver the product at 500+ retail outlets, 13 wholesale depots and nationwide institutional sales.
* Monitoring return stock percentage with reverse logistics cost.
* To participate in planning function to improve supply chain efficiency & achieving departmental goals & objectives.
* Lead and support in establishing agreed logistics processes, KPI's and cost reduction targets.
* Manage freight movements and 3rd party logistics (3PL) contractors.
* Constantly monitor internal decision making processes for transport mode selection and suggest/implement adjustments.
* Implement 3rd party contract management and utilization strategies and report on both qualitative and quantitative performance of contracted parties.
* Maintain up to date contract database of all logistics contracts including proactive alerts and timelines.
* Negotiation of Freight and warehousing cost with 3PLs.
* Responsible for performance assessment, training & development of my team.
* Key member of cross functional team regarding the elimination of ONWAY Inventories.
* Introduce the new horizons of Supply Chain Models for the smooth operations effectively & efficiently.
* Strong follows up on queries and complaints of customers.
Describe your success in your professional life and achievements
* I have introduced the integration concept among all distributors to get real time data for many others analysis in Horizon Pharmaceuticals (Pvt.) Ltd.
* I have decreased all LTL & FTL freight rates nationwide for SSC business (shoe distribution) by Avg. 34% for the year 2015 as compare to 2014 by hard negotiation. And it will be a big saving in monetary terms (in Million) at the end of 2015. That is my big achievement.
* I have been rewarded by a special increment in mid-year performance review by 23% increase of Gross Salary on the basis of six months performance (Jul-Dec, 2014).
* I was ranked in top employees who achieved the “Outstanding” grade on my annual appraisal in Service Sales Corporation (SSC) for 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 consecutively.
* I have saved PKR 18.6 Million by best negotiating with 3PL transporters as Logistician in SSC for the year 2013.
* I joined SSC in Oct-2010. There was manual freight forwarding. I have converted this model to computerize since 2011 and now freight is being checked by just one click by applying MS applications.
* I joined RBL (Riaz Bottlers Pvt Ltd.) in May, 2005 as shift Incharge Raw Materials, I exhibited attitude of professionalism and led our department on new excelsior competitive footing. I came out as a team leader who is capable of leading and driving the team coherently aligned with the company vision and perspective. In recognition of my zeal toward my work and excellence of performance I was being promoted in middle of 2007 as Store Executive-Packing Materials i.e new position created for me first time.
Write your activities and achievement if you were member of any club or society in UMT?
I was not member of any activity but I got Deans Merit Award.
What do you remember about your time in ILM / IMT /UMT?
I am proud to be a part of UMT especially degree completion in Supply Chain Management from UMT, because Supply Chain Management is my core field.
And also all faculty members of SPA are very supportive and they have groomed me and put me ahead in professional career.
So, I am really thanks to all staff members of SPA/UMT for keen support to accomplish my dreamed degree.
