Organization Information
Currently, SMIU offers BS/MS degree programs in Business Administration, Computer Sciences, Environmental Sciences and Education. I am serving as Lecturer English in Public Sector University as a regular employee of Sindh Madressatul Islam University Karachi. I am proud of being part of it since it is the alma mater of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of our country Pakistan.
Describe the work that you do in your role
Teaching of Basic Phonetics and Syntax, Functional English, Technical and Report Writing coupled with Communication Skills. I also look after the office of the English Debating Society SMIU Karachi as a Coordinator.
We as a team member of English department offer English short courses, benefitting students of all the departments at SMIU Karachi.

Six years of Research Experience at UMT Lahore.
Excellent Services Award was awarded in recognition of services rendered as faculty coordinator for English Debating Society on April 9, 2015 by Vice Chancellor SMIU on the distribution ceremony of SMIU Spring Festival, 2015
Best Teacher Award (Academics of the Year 2002), Shield and Cash prize Awarded on 10th Parents Day by Vice Chief of Air Marshal, Saleem Arshad at Cadet College Larkana, Sindh Pakistan.

HEC Ph.D. Fellowship
HEC Doctoral Fellowship was awarded on February 14, 2007, for MS leading to Ph.D.
HEC-IRSIP-PhD Split Program 2013-14
HEC Award of (IRSIP) International Research Support Initiative Program Scholarship and the status of being visiting Ph.D. scholar was conferred upon me for six months to enrich my doctoral research by working with Dr. Jennifer Cole, a renowned Professor of Phonology in the field of speech prosody and to bring high international standard level research at home country, Pakistan. University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA invited me to present my research and get feedback, where I presented my doctoral research, received feedback and completed my Ph.D. dissertation write-up.
Write your activities and achievement if you were member of any club or society in UMT?
I remained part of a research group along with Dr. Sarmad Hussain in terms of MS/Ph.D. research.
In addition to my teaching responsibility, I also serve as a member of Academic Council, Syndicate and the Senate of Sindh Madressatul Islam University Karachi.
What do you remember about your time in ILM / IMT /UMT?
It was a wonderful time with UMT spanning around six years. I spent all my academic years at UMT Hostels.
