Sapphire Group at a Glance:
Sapphire Fibres Limited (SFL) is a vertically integrated composite textile unit, manufacturing cotton yarn, fabric and garments. SFL is the flagship company of the Sapphire Group and is one of the Lead Players in the Textile Composite sector of Pakistan. SFL was incorporated as a public limited company in Pakistan in 1979 and its shares are quoted on Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore Stock Exchanges. Manufacturing units are located in the province of Punjab at Raiwind Road Lahore, Feroze Wattoan /Kharianwala, district Sheikhpura consisting of 99,024 spindles, 9 fabric dyeing, 9 yarn dyeing , 92 knitting and 282 stitching machines.
Describe the work that you do in your role
1)Lab to Bulk Analysis(Right First Time Dyeing Experience of below mentioned classes of dyes):
-Remazol RR,RGB Dyes.
-Procion HEXL, XL Dyes.
-Levafix Dyes.
-Dianix Dyes.
-Sumifix Supra Dyes.
-Drimarene K, CL Dyes.
-Foron Dyes.
-Ciba LS, W, H Dyes.Swiss Speciality.
2)Working on sample dyeing Machines Mathis , Ahiba Lab Dyeing Machines and Theis Machine in Production for yarn and fabric dyeing machines.
3)Chemical Testing.
4)Monitoring of Quality Testing(shrinkage, pilling, washing fastness,crocking/robbing ,light fastness)etc
5)Management of all R&D work (about dystuffs, chemicals, substrate and process as well)etc.

I am very pleased to accept the position of Trainee Engineer (Research & Development) at Sapphire Group ,
Thanks all the managers and Administrations for such great opportunity for me. I am eager to make a positive contribution to the company and to work with everyone either in group or in team works.
Write your activities and achievement if you were member of any club or society in UMT?
School of Textile and Design of UMT is utilizing best technologies to produce dynamic and down-to-earth business leaders with entrepreneurial skills, to become self-reliant and capable of addressing local as well as global business. All that has happened to the faculty of STD that is highly qualified and friendly. STD has made me proud in the field of textile and design due to possessing in-depth professional knowledge when I go to field for employment. My degree were still took one month more to be completed and I was bering offered jobs.
What do you remember about your time in ILM / IMT /UMT?
School of Textile and Design of UMT has boasted me up to the peaks of learning and academic confidence. I have participated in many international conferences and seminars under the umbrella of STD which promoted professional scholarship and practical understanding of textile and design in me. My STD has tutored me both in academic and in life out of academics. STD is a friendly teaching-learning environment. On completion of degree from here, many doors of opportunities open up for me.
