Describe the work that you do in your role
Currently I am working as Marketing officer at Oasis. My responsibility is to plan and market our new events along with the arrangement of the events and update of our members through direct mailers and internet. I look after the concerns and queries of current members and new members. I also work as the event photographer at Oasis.
Indicate previous experience and/or areas of career proficiency/achievenments
I worked as Associate in Mobilink for almost 3 years in customer services. I worked in back end support a sub-department of customer services that is investigation and resolution unit. I started my carrier in mobilink initially in contact center as CSR, but moved to the other higher sub-department as explained above.
Describe your success in your professional life and achievements
I dont think that I have achieved my goals or something very special yet. It will take a bit time to achieve my goals. I had a goal to do engineering and I did it, but unfortunately i never perused engineering profession. But now as I am in my field oriented job, I hope that now I will achieve my Goals Inshallah and will update it here :).
Write your activities and achievement if you were member of any club or society in UMT?
I was the event manager of the "Knowledge Forum" back in 2002-2003.
I was selected as first IEEE Treasury of UMT when UMT got the IEEE charter in 2002 or 03.
I was also a member of event organizing team at Iqbal Academy, Lahore and that team organized and 2 major events in Iqbal year in 2003.
What do you remember about your time in ILM / IMT /UMT?
I belong to the Pioneer batch of Engineering when our degree was labled as BECS and still we call our batch and degree BECS and when UMT was ILM. I cant forget that campus where now Salaar Center is built. Out computer lab was away from the campus and that was in Barkat market in a huge basement. I still think that the best teacher I had were Dr. Khalid Qamar (he was our, teacher, adviser and associate dean at that time), Mr. Mian Irfan ( a tough teacher who always put a lot of burden on us). I got one of my all time best buddies at ILM / UMT.
