The Dawn of New Academic Era in Mirpur (A.K). With a view to enrich the people of Azad Jammu & Kashmir with the education of Science & Technology, Engineering faculty, bearing the name of Ali Ahmed Shah University College of Engineering & Technology, was established in 1980. The college catered for the requirements of the students in the realm of science & technology under the auspices of Azad Jammu and Kashmir University. This college, located in the beautiful city of Mirpur, proved to be a worthy seat of learning for engineer graduates in five disciplines such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Basic Sciences and Computer Science and Information Technology. Meritorious services rendered by this Technical institution are virtually laudable. The students having been bestowed upon degrees in their respective disciplines, mentioned above, are serving the nation enthusiastically, at home and abroad. Keeping in view the standard and requirements, this college has very recently been upgraded as Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST) Mirpur A.K through ordinance XVIII of 2008 on 15th day of August 2008.
Describe the work that you do in your role
Responsible for dealing with New/approved development schemes of the MUST. Projects worth more than 800 million rupees.
Responsible for designing new Projects and get approved from relevant forum i.e. CDWP.
Responsible for managing project financial accounts, issuance of releases and preparation of expenditure statements.
Ensuring compliance of formalities and Government rules of business during implementation of the project.
Maintaining project related database, Correspondence with GoP & GoAJK, concerned departments and agencies.
Monitoring and implementation projects.
A team member of Project “Up-gradation of “University College of Engineering and Technology, Mirpur” into “Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur” AJ&K (Prime Minister Pakistan Directive).

1.A team member of Project “Up-gradation of “University College of Engineering and Technology, Mirpur” into “Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur” AJ&K (Prime Minister Pakistan Directive).
2.Social Sciences & Humanities Research Council Established with all modern facilities, a forum for the Scientists and to promote academic development and research.
3.Twenty Two Linkages amongst International and Local University have been established.
4.Six International Conferences have been organized with collaboration with major Pakistani Universities.
5.Twenty two researches have been conducted on contemporarily issues of the country and successfully launched the thematic research grant program.
6.The web-portal for GoAJK www.ajk.gov.pk restructured and launched
7.Six Information Technology Projects were launched at AJK Information Technology Board to implement the Mass IT Plan.
8.Dean Merit Award winner from Hamdard University.

What do you remember about your time in ILM / IMT /UMT?
Friends who never found after ILM, Teachers so professional and specially administration who cooperates with student as a family and younger brothers. Presentation which to be delivered fortnightly and exams to be given daily.
Canteen with smoosas and Barkat Market with chic burgers with salad and cheese and finally photocopier.
