Emirates Supply Chain Services (Pvt.) Ltd. (ESCS) is our venture into providing warehousing and distribution services to the largest multinationals dealing in FMCG.

The warehouse facility is our commitment towards international clients to partners and supports them in their growth and expansion endeavours. ESCS has successfully completed construction of the state of the art warehouse facility and it is fully geared up to provide customized warehousing and distribution services to local & international companies operating in Pakistan.

The facility is one of its kinds and is spread over 300,000 sq. meter area, offering a storage space of 12,000 pallet positions for ambient storage and cold storage. It is strategically planned and built to meet global standards of warehousing, logistics and distribution services. It also encompasses a dedicated area of bundling for Club stores and modern trade; most suitable for hypermarkets. The comprehensive complex will meet all the operational needs and ensure the delivery of world class services.

The venture is also a launching pad to broaden penetration in Pakistan and help achieve our vision to make ESCS a hub for freight forwarding, warehousing and logistics solutions.

Describe the work that you do in your role

- Human Resources Responsibilities:

» With a Coordination of my HR Team, effectively “RECRUIT a Right fit” and ensure that the whole recruitment process has been done right; starting with through Job Analysis to Final Hiring.

» Executing Training Need Analysis (TNA) of all employees.

» Designing Training and Development Programmes based on both the organizational and the individual's needs.

» Conducting Trainings of all employees subsequently ensures the Positive Transfer, finally Monitoring and Reviewing the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers.

» Liaising with External Training Providers and responsible for providing appropriate External Trainings to all employees.

» Evaluating Training and Development Programmes.

» Issuing Appreciation, Honorary and Employee of the Month Certificates to deserving employees.

» Conducting Orientations of New Hired Employees.

» Representing ESCS’s Human Resources Department in External Events.

» Organizing Internal Events.

» Developing ESCS’s Newsletter on quarterly basis.

- Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental (QSHE) Responsibilities:

» As Deputy Management Representative (DMR), I Assist Management Representative (MR) for the effective implementation and maintenance of Integrated Management System (IMS) - (ISO 9001: 2008, OHSAS 18001: 2007) In accordance with the policies and procedures as laid down in the company’s Quality and Procedures Manuals and ensuring that all changes are reflected in the Quality and Procedures Manuals and any other task specified by the Top - Management and reports directly to them regarding the performance of the quality management system as basis for review for continuous improvement.

» Responsible for the Formulation and Implementation of Quality Policy, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Policy, objectives and targets.

» Monitoring compliance to the policies and procedures to ensure consistent and effective implementation of the IMS System.

» Motivating employees and support them on awareness of IMS System requirements throughout Emirates Supply Chain Services (Pvt.) Ltd. (ESCS).

» Liaising with management, external parties, consultant and MR regarding the implementation and maintenance of the IMS System.

» Maintaining the master list of documents and external origin documents indicating the revision status and distribution of all the documents under the document control system.

» Controlling, implementing, and distributing documents to relevant sections / departments.

» Maintenance, retrieval of old / obsolete versions of documents.

» Reviewing the IMS System to ensure its suitability and effectiveness by concluding the Management Reviews.

» Conducting Management Review to ensure that requirements of the Standards and the Quality objectives are met and the integrity of the Integrated Management System (IMS) is maintained when changes in the IMS System are planned and implemented.

» Monitoring programs, projects and activities of the company.

- Auditor Responsibilities:

» Scheduling and leads periodic system and process audits and ensures timely and effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions

» Handling External Audits and Dealing with External Auditors.

» Deciding on allocation of audit activities.

» Communicating with the auditees to confirm audit plans.

» Monitoring the performance of Internal Auditors.

» Checking for adequacy any check-lists and other documented preparations of the audit teams.

» Authorizing the final report before being provided to all the auditees.

» Managing any conflicts between auditors and auditees.

» Deciding upon any non-conformances or follow-up action required based on collated findings.

» Collating the findings of each auditor involved in the audit.

» As Management Representative (MR), I received “Outstanding Achievement Award”, For Playing A Key Role In Successful Inclusion Of Environmental Management System Based Upon “ISO 14001:2004” In Our Current Integrated Management System Based Upon Quality Management System “ISO 9001:2008” And Occupational Health & Safety Management System “OHSAS 18001:2007” at Emirates Supply Chain Services (Pvt.) Ltd, Lahore, Pakistan.

» As Deputy Management Representative (DMR), I received “Outstanding Achievement Award”, For Playing A Key Role In Successful Implementation of Internationally Certified Integrated Management System Based Upon Quality Management System “ISO 9001:2008” And Occupational Health & Safety Management System “OHSAS 18001:2007” at Emirates Supply Chain Services (Pvt.) Ltd, Lahore, Pakistan.

» Developed an Integrated Management System (IMS) Manual Based upon ISO 9001: 2008, ISO 14001: 14001 & OHSAS 18001: 2007 for ESCS.

» Developed the Policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Integrated System Procedures, Standing Operating Records (SORs/Forms& Formats) and Process Flows for all existing (10) departments at ESCS.

» Developed the Generic Job Descriptions for all existing Positions at ESCS.

» Developed 11 Newsletters of Emirates Supply Chain Services (Pvt.) Ltd. (Till-Date).

» Wrote 10 different articles in quarterly based Newsletters of Emirates Supply Chain Services (Pvt.) Ltd. (Till-Date).
