MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduction of Audits and Detection of Revenue Leakages, Evasions and Frauds:
* Planning an audit engagement.
* Preparation of working papers for assigned audits and identifying, analyzing, evaluating, and recording information.
* Communicating results in the form of different analytical reports for higher authorities.
* Monitoring progress of audits conducted.
* Drafting of legal notices as per law.
* Visiting units to verify the machinery installed & business/manufacturing processes and interviewing the owners/employees.
* Record scrutiny keeping in view all relevant acts, rules, laws & procedures, principles of accounting/finance/audit.
* Carrying out different analytical auditing procedures including production analysis based on industrial standards.
* Preparation of different analytical reports.
* Verification of the record from other tax agencies/corporations/banks etc.
* Preparation and submission of Audit/Contravention Reports to the officer in charge.
Pursuance of Cases in Adjudication and Appeals:
* Personal appearance and submission of comments/arguments before the Adjudicating Authorities at different legal forums including Appellate Tribunal and High Court.
* Carrying out all official correspondence and building liaison between the department and different associations.
* Recommendations for sanctioning of admissible refund cases based on reporting of processing officers.
* Intelligence gathering. Etc

What do you remember about your time in ILM / IMT /UMT?

My experience of MBA studies at ILM is one of my life's best experiences. I can't forget the information and knowledge that I have gained from my very respectable professors. I miss ILM and all my peers and teachers and pray for them. Thanks ILM, I would have not been what I am today without you.
