Describe the work that you do in your role

As an Installation, Testing and Commissioning (ITC) Engineer in (7+24) Re signalling Project of Pakistan Railways,
I coordinate and technical interface with customer to ensure that system requirements are met and to get the right solutions. Further liaise with subcontractors, and designers for implementation and testing of Railway Signaling System called “Interlocking Application Site Data” and include Signaling Basic Design. The system is for supervise/Control the train running system.
Supervision of Maintenance (SOM) of 7+24 stations i.e. indoor & outdoor objects
Prepare trouble call reports, incident reports, share with client and consortium as well.
During maintenance provide hardware solution, software solution according to maintenance process and
supervise equipment maintenance of Point machine/ Point detectors, Signals & Interlocking Processing Units.

Indicate previous experience and/or areas of career proficiency/achievenments

As an Installation, Testing & Commissioning (ITC) Engineer, I support different world metro projects including Malaysia, Iran & Philippines.
Currently I am supporting Philippine MRT-L3 Rehabilitation Project. Working with Japanese contractors was a dream, so Living my dream and trying to do my best. Let me share some tips how I become professional in job market and what are possible prerequisites of professional development that i am following.

1. Stay positive. Having negative thoughts about specific institution or situation will not bring you any help. Staying cool and optimistic will surely make situation better.
2. You should be open to feedback. Obviously it will not always be the positive one. But feedback will surely help you to eradicate flaws and improve your service.
3. Setting goals is very important either for life or for work. Aimless hard work will not going to make any difference. But on the other side setting long term and short term goals will provide line length to your work and make you more prepared.
4. Merely having single degree is not sufficient. One should keep looking for courses and workshops to broaden his experience.
5. Seeking help of other people specially those who are your superiors will surely add to your knowledge.

Worked as an Internee in Pakistan Elektron Limited (PEL).

Worked as an Internee in Lahore Electric Supply Company Limited (LESCO).

Worked as a Teacher Assistant (TA) in University of Management and Technology in Mathematics Department.

Runners up Techno Fiesta'15 held in University of Management and Technology, Lahore.

Winning Team Captain in Sports Galla held at College Level Sargodha.

Describe your success in your professional life and achievements

Within Six months, I will able to Install and Supervise the Testing of outdoor Machines and Indoor Equipment. Further handle the Documentation and filling of records in accordance with Interlocking engineering process, ISO 9001 quality standard and railway safety standard.
After two years, I got a chance to show my skills world wide. I supported different projects including Malaysia, Iran & Philippine.

Write your activities and achievement if you were member of any club or society in UMT?

Unfortunately i am not the part of any club or society.

What do you remember about your time in ILM / IMT /UMT?

First day ragging up to Degree, there are many many things that are still circulating. Love of Teachers & Friends, Main stairs water cooler, Cafe Baryani, Library silence, Grades fighting each and every thing is phenomenal. In short "A BEAUTIFUL TIME". UMT is LOVE really.
