Punjab Mineral Company (Private) Limited, (PMC) is wholly owned Company of Govt. of The Punjab, established under Companies Ordinance 1984, PMC, Inter alia, has the mandate for promotion, exploration and resource estimation of the mineral resources of the Punjab. (GOP)

Describe the work that you do in your role

Head Of the Department.
o Promotes and implements human resource values by planning and managing human resources programs.
o To lead and support the development and implementation of HR policy across all areas of the organisation including improving performance, maximizing attendance and providing effective management of change. Work with the HR team to develop, co-ordinate, implement and audit all HR activity within the department and across the organisation.
o Develops organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives.
o Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, compliance of all laws, rule & regulation including labor laws.
o Manages human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation; determining productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.
o Develops human resources operations financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
o Accomplishes special project results by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; expediting fulfillment; evaluating milestone accomplishments; evaluating optional courses of action; changing assumptions and direction.
o Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions; analyzing information and applications.
o Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values.
o Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
o Updates job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

o Established, structured and re-structured organization’s all departments along with Human Resource Departments.

Write your activities and achievement if you were member of any club or society in UMT?

I was the pioneer member of Dramatic Club, Mushaira event, Cricket Tournament, almost all extra circular activities at that time at ILM (UMT).
