The company was founded in 1997 with the aim to become a hospitality industry leader through establishing a world class portfolio of luxury hotels and resorts. Building on this success, in 2004 Jumeirah Group became a member of Dubai Holding - a collection of leading Dubai-based businesses and projects - in line with a new phase of growth and development for the Group. (Recently joined Netsol as Senior Business Development Executive)

Describe the work that you do in your role

Working as Leisure Sales Advisor at Jumeirah Group which owns and manages the Jumeirah Hotels and properties across the globe, the job is to facilitate and advise Corporate Organisations as well as high profile Travel Agencies about the selling as well as touring prospects at the Jumeirah Hotels in Dubai, which ranges from the themes at the hotels, their specialities to their availability in a certain season around the year. The objective is to enhance the Corporate/Leisure Online Sales and achieve the estimated revenue on a periodic basis.

Indicate previous experience and/or areas of career proficiency/achievenments

Initially, a dynamic professional in the field of Business Development with the background of Business Analysis and HR (UMT), now looking to optimise experience in the other Business functions and maximise any opportunity provided in order to achieve professional excellence by application of empathy, coherence within a team and the determination to achieve goals both short and long term. The priority now is to make SMART moves in order to keep pace with the massively evolving nature of the business activities at organisations across the globe that tend to diversify dramatically.

Describe your success in your professional life and achievements

Through my time at UMT and then working at EZ Solutions as a Business Development Executive before moving on to the UK for my MBA (Coventry University), the professional progression has been smooth. With the passage of time the aim is now to become professionally capable of taking the perspective organisation forward to new heights of success through setting up new standards of performance, sustaining them and achieving consistency in results which is an epidome of raising the bar and being above the rest.

What do you remember about your time in ILM / IMT /UMT?

My time at UMT makes up for the most cherished of memories of my life. I was an active member of the UMT football as well as cricket team. WIth 2 Fut-Thrill winners medals and 1 Clash 20 2010 winners medal to my credit, my sporting career at UMT is worth mentioning. I was also an active member of my departmental activities (SPA) and promoting my course (MHRM) was on the agenda at most occassions.
